Episode 6 Self Care

 

Welcome to episode 6 of the Fulfilled Mamas Podcast, today I’m gonna take you to an area that is near and dear to my heart –Self Care. This is a huge part of living your fulfilling life. I have learned over the years is that when you make it a priority you can make it happen and that’s true with everything whether it’s a clean house whether it’s your business or your own self-care.

Self-care is such a huge umbrella and looks different for everyone and honestly looks different for me every day.  But the fact is that if you don’t take care of yourself you’re going to have nothing left to give your kids, so I started creating a self-care practice for myself.  When I started doing things that took care of me, I started to feel much better. Remember Mamas, whatever that makes you feel good is going to make you feel more fulfilled and that is going to make you a happier mom. Make a list of all the things that you wish you could do for self-care and go for it Mamas.

Here’s where you’ll find some of the highlights: 

  • [02:20] I have learned over the years is that when you make it a priority you can make it happen and that’s true with everything whether it’s a clean house whether it’s your business or your own self-care and I really encourage you moms.
  • [03:35] But the fact is that if you don’t take care of yourself you’re going to have nothing left to give your kids I snapped at her a lot of Scrabble with my husband I the time was still kind of sort of practicing law but wasn’t doing a very good job.
  • [05:20] whatever it is that make you makes you feel good is going to make you feel more fulfilled and that is going to make you happier mom which means that you’re going to do better with your business or your job or your spouse or your kids or were ever your attention needs to go.
  • [06:07] you’ve gotta set boundaries before you can begin to do self-care if you’re not setting boundaries.
  • [06:44] so make a list of all the things that you wish you could do for self-care and that might be the list of things that you used to do before you had kids.
